Mr. Jack Sellers founded the Jack Sellers Bexar County Palomino Patrol in 1951 especially for the performance of the San Antonio Rodeo Grand Entry. At every performance since, the riders wear rhinestone uniforms and the beautiful golden palomino horses proudly sport sparkling, silver saddles. Fans love the colorful and exciting “Six Flags Over Texas” presentation. After 9/11 the Patrol began a new tradition of carrying  American Flags in a “Salute to America." The Palomino Patrol Drill Team was formed in 2003 to ride specifically with the Palomino Patrol in the San Antonio Rodeo. The team wears specially-designed black and silver chaps and western shirts to compliment the colors of the Palomino Patrol while maintaining the image of the old west.

Loving the spotlight

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is home to the Palomino Patrol and Drill Team, but they delight crowds at many other venues, too. The riders lead the Battle of Flowers Parade, ride honor guard for US Presidents, foreign leaders and several Texas Governors. They've even entertained Queen Elizabeth. This is an exciting group. They'll perform at charity functions, conventions, and in movies.
